Sending your kid(s) back to school is already chaotic enough. I mean there is registration, meeting new teachers and most importantly – making sure you checked every item off the school supplies list. As an additional task for us health cautious parents, we also have to ensure we are sending our kid(s) back to school with healthy, earthy friendly items.
1. Food Storage
My all time favorite item to send my child to school with is the stainless steel bento box. I will admit, it is on the more pricey side. However, the skid-free silicone bottom and easiness of washing for the next day via the dishwasher sold me on this bento box. Plus, it is rust, odor, and stain resistant! 2. Writing Utensils
When shopping for pencils, pens, and markers it is important to check the ingredient list (as with all things). When shopping for markers, make sure they are nonscented and are water based. I recommend the infamous crayola markers. These markers do not contain any known harmful substances and are enjoyable by children of all ages.
